DANCE THE ALPHABET!
Dance has always been an important part of Connie’s life. After graduating from Denison University and receiving her MFA from the University of Michigan, she performed in professional ballet and contemporary dance companies for many years, in both the United States and Latin America. She has taught three-year-olds who are having their first dance experience, senior adults in wheelchairs, and every age in between. She is the author of the picture book FROM A TO Z WITH ENERGY! (Free Spirit Publishing, 2019), and two books for teachers: ONE TWO, WHAT CAN I DO? DANCE AND MUSIC FOR THE WHOLE DAY (Redleaf Press, 2011); and DANCE, TURN, HOP, LEARN! ENRICHING MOVEMENT ACTIVITIES FOR PRESCHOOLERS (Redleaf Press, 2006). She has also published articles in magazines and journals, and many verses in Highlights magazines. Connie continues to share her passion for dance by writing, teaching, creating community dance events, presenting workshops for teachers, and visiting schools and libraries.
