Kyle Lukoff is the author of over half a dozen books, including the 2020 Stonewall-award winner "When Aidan Became A Brother," illustrated by Kaylani Juanita. A former elementary school librarian, Kyle now writes full-time.
Kyle Lukoff has worked in the intersection of books and people for over twenty years, first as a bookseller, then as a librarian, and later as an author. His debut picture book, "A Storytelling of Ravens," was called "Not to be missed" in a starred Kirkus review, and "When Aidan Became A Brother," the 2020 Stonewall Award winner, "sets a new standard of excellence in transgender representation."
Kyle has served on the Stonewall Awards committee and a juror for the Kirkus Prize. His middle-grade debut, "Too Bright To See," releases on April 20th, 2021 from Dial Books. His past and forthcoming works include the "Max and Friends" early reader series, "Explosion at the Poem Factory," "If You're A Kid Like Gavin," and more. As a former elementary school librarian Kyle is able to present a wide range of topics for any age and reading level.
