Upon learning of Susanna's heroism from a descendant, Libby was determined to share her story with the world.

In 2019 Virginia General Assembly unanimously approved Libby's Resolution establishing "Susanna Bolling Day" in Virginia on December 5, Susanna's birthday.

Her next novel, "Dolley Madison & the War of 1812: America's First Lady" AND its accompanying study guide will publish on May 20, 2021, which is Dolley's birthday.

Libby is also a lawyer and US Army veteran. She served in the JAG Corps and was posted in Bosnia; Germany; South Korea; and Fort Lewis, WA. She is a graduate of Georgetown University cum laude and Catholic University Law School.

She lives in Richmond, Virginia, with her book-obsessed son and husband. Their zany cat, Zeke, curls up at her feet while she writes.
