Natasha Yim is a children's author of 7 picture books. She lives in Northern California with her family and loves to cook, bake, travel, and listen to audiobooks when she's not writing.
Natasha Yim was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and grew up in Singapore and Hong Kong. She has wanted to be a writer since she was 11 years old when a 7th grade creative writing assignment fired her imagination. She’s been writing stories ever since. Natasha came to California for college in 1979 and received her B.A. in English Literature with a Writing Emphasis and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University. She is the author of 7 picture books. Her book Goldy Luck and the Three Pandas (Charlesbridge Publishing, 2014) was a Junior Library Guild and Scholastic Book Club selection. Her latest book, Luna's Yum Yum Dim Sum was released by Charlesbridge Publishing in December 2020. Natasha has also written two books for Disney Press, Mulan's Lunar New Year (2018), and the forthcoming Mei and Ming's Panda Problem based on the upcoming Pixar movie, "Turning Red” which will be released in Spring 2022. Many of Natasha's stories are inspired by her cultural upbringing in Southeast Asia.
