Rebecca J. Gomez loves writing stories as much as she loves reading them. When she's not writing or reading, her favorite things to do are baking, creating art, and dragging her family to the woods for a hike.
Rebecca J. Gomez has been writing since she was old enough to pick up a pencil and jot down her own sentences. As a kid, she wrote mostly poems, though she "published" her own activity book when she was 6 or 7. It had a cardboard cover and a hand-sewn binding! Since then, rhyming stories and poems have been her literary best friend, probably because of her mother who read Shell Silverstein and Robert Service to her and her siblings when she was young. To this day, her mother is still the voice of poetry in her mind.
Rebecca writes poetry, picture books, and verse novels for children of all ages, and when it comes to story time, rhyming read-alouds are her favorite! She loves to share the joy that books bring with anyone who will listen (even her dogs), but especially with kids.
