After a brief introduction to the Lucy's Lab chapter book series, we'll dive right in to figuring out how both writers and scientists work.

Inspiration is all about how ideas, where do they come from and how do we catch them?
Investigation is how we learn more. Some call it research.
Imagination is what we do with our inspiration and investigation.
With fun games and audience participation, Michelle uses real-life examples to inspire curious minds. Be warned: you may end up with counter top full of inspiration after this visit!

Michelle Houts is the award-winning author of more than a dozen books for young readers, ranging from colorful, engaging picture books to adventurous middle-grade novels. She loves to talk to young readers and writers about not only her work and process, but their own ideas and creations.
