What's in a story?
With the help of Champ the canine engineer, learn all about the three components of a story—beginning, middle, and end.
45 Minute Program
In this program, I'll walk the children through a quick story about Champ, a canine locomotive engineer whose lovely day goes wrong when a thief steals his collar. Using Champ's little adventure, I'll explain what it means when we say every story has a beginning, middle, and end. Afterward, I'll answer questions about stories, becoming an author, or what it's like to fly as a stealth, fighter, drone, and airline pilot. If requested, I'll also read an excerpt from one of any of my books chosen by the group.
