Writing Sci-Fi and Fantasy: Pro tips for Creating New Worlds
Explore how to write amazing science fiction and fantasy stories! Bring paper and pen/pencil, and come prepared to write. By the end of the program, you'll have great story ideas, and techniques that you can apply to your writing for years to come.
Several practical tips will be given for avoiding common pitfalls, developing compelling fictional worlds, and getting readers to accept incredible occurrences. We’ll also explore how to create thrilling narratives that address the issues that matter most to you.
Participants should bring paper and a pen/pencil, and come prepared to write. Also, come with any writing related questions you have. By the end of the program, you'll have gained a deeper sense of how to approach writing sci-fi and fantasy stories, and how to make the strange believable.
The program is best suited for ages 11 and up. The smaller the group size, the more individual attention and feedback participants will get. (50-60 minutes).
